I Created LifeShine Design and Kaleidoscope Because I Needed Them First

For much of my life, I felt like I was living in survival mode. I was stuck in patterns and beliefs that told me I wasn’t enough, that I had to endure, and that my worth was tied to how much I could take. For 18 years, I stayed in a marriage where I felt unseen, unheard, and unsafe. I told myself I was doing it for my family, but the truth was, I didn’t know how to choose myself.

Trigger Warning: This blog discusses emotional and verbal abuse. Please take care of yourself.

When I finally made the decision to leave, it wasn’t a moment of clarity or confidence—it was a moment of necessity. I didn’t recognize myself anymore. I was completely dissociated, overwhelmed, and living in constant fear of my ex-husband’s anger. It wasn’t until my youngest son called 911 one day that I realized I had to get out. He showed me something I had been too afraid to see: we both deserved safety. And so, I started planning my escape.

But leaving wasn’t the end of the story. It was just the beginning.

The Tools That Saved Me

In the years that followed, I began the slow and often painful process of rebuilding my life. I didn’t just want to survive; I wanted to heal. I wanted to understand why I had stayed for so long, why I had allowed myself to be treated that way, and how I could ensure I never ended up in that situation again.

That’s when I found the tools that would eventually become the foundation of Kaleidoscope. Transpersonal psychology, shamanic wisdom, The Adult Chair, the Enneagram, Human Design, the Gene Keys, and LifeLines—each of these tools gave me a different way to work with my wounds, shift my beliefs, and understand myself on a deeper level.

  • Transpersonal psychology helped me connect with my higher self and see my struggles as part of a greater journey.

  • Shamanic wisdom taught me how to honor my intuition and reclaim my inner power.

  • The Adult Chair helped me understand my emotions and step into my most empowered self.

  • The Enneagram revealed the patterns and motivations that kept me stuck in unhealthy dynamics.

  • Human Design and the Gene Keys illuminated my unique gifts and showed me how to align with my true nature.

  • LifeLines provided practical tools for grounding, resilience, and navigating my most challenging moments.

Each tool offered me a new perspective, and together, they helped me transform my pain into purpose.

Why I Created LifeShine Design and Kaleidoscope

I didn’t create LifeShine Design and Kaleidoscope because I had all the answers—I created them because I needed them first. These tools saved me. They showed me how to take the broken pieces of my life and arrange them into something beautiful. They taught me how to set boundaries, honor my worth, and choose myself, even when it felt impossible.

Now, I want to share those tools with others.

Kaleidoscope isn’t just a program—it’s a reflection of my journey. It’s a collection of tools and wisdom designed to help you create deep shifts in your life, just as they did for me. Whether you’re navigating a challenging relationship, struggling to find your purpose, or simply feeling stuck, these tools can help you tap into your inner strength and transform your life.

Turning Pain into Purpose

Here’s what I’ve learned: Pain doesn’t have to define you, but it can guide you.

For years, I thought my pain was something to be ashamed of—something to hide. But now I see it as a teacher. It taught me how to be resilient, how to grow, and how to show up for myself in ways I never had before.

It’s not easy to turn pain into purpose. It requires courage, vulnerability, and a willingness to look at the parts of yourself you’d rather avoid. But when you do, something magical happens. You start to see the beauty in the brokenness. You start to understand that your struggles don’t make you weak—they make you human.

You Deserve to Shine

If you’re reading this and feeling stuck, I want you to know that you’re not alone. I’ve been there. I know how hard it is to believe in yourself when life feels overwhelming. But I also know this: You are stronger than you think. You have the power to transform your life.

LifeShine Design and Kaleidoscope were born out of my pain, but they’re here to help you find your light. Whether you’re just starting your journey or you’ve been on the path for years, know that it’s never too late to choose yourself.

Because you deserve to shine.

With love,

Jen Day
